Now I know that I am getting old, but it is always brought home to me the day after a late night.
We stayed up in the garden chatting with friends, drinking and eating until nearly one in the morning.
Getting up for the car boot this morning was almost a no go but in the end we managed to drag ourselves out of bed, well I say we, Thea stayed snuggled in her pit until mid morning by which time we were busy wandering the stalls.
I found a lovely table cloth which I think is going to make a lovely tunic top and some english books, so came home happy.
When we got home and had finished bagging up the leftovers from last night for the freezer I settled down with a copy of a friend's Prima magazine and one eye on Columbo with Faye Dunaway.
Perfect Sunday afternoon bliss.
Then a huge storm rolled in and the TV signal vanished, so I started to really concentrate on what was going on in the magazine, and one of their featured items were some bird shaped lavender bags.
I'm not a huge fan of lavender bags but our elderly lady neighbour love them, so I have made them frequently as gifts, but it was not that that inspired me, but the birdie shape.
So I scurried away upstairs to my trusty squared paper to recreate my own birdies....
... these are destined for some bags as well as a plain cream spring coat that I have had at the back of the wardrobe for a while that has desperately been crying out for something jolly and lively to embellish it.

That's a really beautiful tablecloth. I'm looking for one to make a circle skirt and it's fair to say that so far I'm failing utterly. Well done on your find!
I am very pleased xith it, it cost just 2 euros and came with 20 napkins!
