Harvest time

Today is a deluge, but yesterday was glorious with a capital 'G'.

So we got to digging - first some carrots...

.... then some beetroots....
..then some onions...

....then some potatoes.....

...then some kohl rabit (bored of digging now so hunting for above ground harvests)...

... found some more beans drying out nicely, and the last few patty pan squashes....

...and for the grand finale - the grape harvest!

You are just rubbing it in aren't you?

Chuckle, here in Broccoli Acres the harvest is well and truly over except for one or two staunch hangers on.

I pine for a longer season so I can grow more.

we have a very short season here - nothing gets planted outside until May really, and only a few things in the greenhouse at the end of April.

This year was especially weird because it snowed in May too which did not help the ground conditions.

Then we flooded in June, and baked dry throughout July and August. Now it is harvest time but already freezing overnight.
